In addition to a 12-room emergency room that can be expanded, the $40 million, 25-bed hospital includes a new surgical program with two state-of-the-art operating rooms and extensive diagnostic and imaging services, including given to women. While the lights went out for a while in the original hospital area, they won't stay that way for long. The building will soon be home to One Door Polk, a community service center that will promote health, wellness and economic development in Cedartown and Polk County. Open Door Polk will create approximately 75 new jobs.
